Restorative Nurse

About the role
Signature Rehab is dedicated to providing top rehab care to residents of Signature HealthCARE nursing homes nationwide, as well as other individuals on an outpatient basis. The role involves leading the restorative nursing program, which has expanded into managing the Restorative Nursing Program. This position will perform restorative nursing procedures that maximize residents’ existing abilities, emphasize independence, and minimize the negative effects of disability. You will also assist with potential admissions as needed.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 8-hour day shift with occasional weekend rotation.
- PRN position available for 16 hours per week; schedule can be flexible but must be during day shift hours.
Responsibilities
- Perform restorative nursing procedures that maximize residents’ existing abilities, emphasize independence instead of dependence, and minimize the negative effects of disability with an attitude of realistic optimism under the supervision of a restorative nurse.
- Assist as needed with potential admissions at the facility.
- Recognize residents’ needs such as range-of-motion exercises and ambulation limitations.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse with required state licensure.
- One (1) to three (3) years of related experience; supervisory experience preferred.
