Restorative CNA - PRN

About the role

Aegis Therapies, a leader in rehabilitation and wellness services, is seeking a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care. Reporting to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy, this position works exclusively with the therapy team to deliver appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.

Responsibilities

• Receive full restorative training provided onsite.
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities including ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist, or similar area.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
• Experience with senior populations preferred.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of senior-specific fitness and wellness programs.
