About the role
ServiceMaster Restore responds to water, fire, smoke, and storm damage for homes and businesses. We are seeking a skilled Restoration Technician to perform mitigation and restoration services for residential and commercial properties. This hands-on role is ideal for professionals who work well under pressure, value craftsmanship, and understand the importance of customer care during stressful loss situations.
Responsibilities
- Perform water extraction, structural drying, fire and smoke mitigation
- Set up, monitor, and remove restoration equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers)
- Perform controlled demolition and removal of damaged materials
- Clean, sanitize, and restore structural materials and contents
- Take moisture readings using meters and thermal imaging tools
- Document job progress with photos and mobile job management software
- Maintain safe, organized, and professional job sites
- Communicate clearly with customers, adjusters, and team members
- Follow OSHA safety standards, PPE requirements, and company procedures
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency response services
Qualifications
- Experience in restoration, mitigation, construction, general labor, or skilled trades preferred
- Knowledge of water damage restoration, mold remediation, or fire damage cleanup a plus
- IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT) preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in varied environments
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and emergency calls
