Compensation
$17.96/hour when combining hourly wage of $13.75 and average tips of $4.21/hour earned at this location.

Responsibilities
As a Shift Supervisor, you are building your leadership skills and style. You will lead restaurant operations during scheduled shifts and support training for all new hires, program rollouts, and standards in your restaurant. At times, you will be the most senior squad member working the shift, ensuring the team performs all essential tasks, provides outstanding guest experiences, and contributes to smooth restaurant operations. You will support restaurant management in overall operations and serve as a leader for the squad.
- Lead the shift by ensuring the right squad member is in the right place and doing the right work to always support guests (deployment). Complete Deployment Charts and make adjustments throughout the day.
- Train newly hired or promoted squad members and support the team through new program rollouts and initiatives.
- Ensure operating systems and equipment are maintained to meet restaurant goals, including restaurant equipment and technology like online ordering, catering, fundraising, and customer review systems.
- Use and reference MOD tools and standards to ensure food safety in both Back of House and Front of House.
- Listen, acknowledge, and resolve squad member and/or guest concerns; escalate issues to the Assistant Manager or General Manager as needed.
- Manage cash accurately and responsibly, including making change, accessing the safe, and processing refunds.
- Take inventory and place orders as needed and supported by the General Manager.
- Adhere to all Opening/Midday/Closing shift checklists and use available tools to execute requirements in a timely manner.
- Regularly review email to stay updated on and communicate information from relevant sources for squad members to be effective in their roles.
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year of customer service or restaurant experience.
- Demonstrated success as a mentor, trainer, or informal leader.
- Proven ability to prioritize and make decisions.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Proven success in following and enforcing processes and standards; correcting and coaching in a compassionate manner.
- Ability to be a calming presence in periods of high volume.
- Obtain a food safety certification and/or alcohol beverage certification within 30 days of start date (or sooner where required by law).
- Proficiency in written and oral communication.
- Ability to work a minimum of 3 shifts and 18 hours per week, including peak demand hours as determined by the General Manager or District Manager.
