About the role

The Restaurant Server delivers warm, professional, and high-standard service to Neiman Marcus customers, ensuring an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Serves assigned seating section with professionalism and grace
• Provides detailed menu information using thorough knowledge of food, preparation, and culinary terminology
• Leverages expertise in wine, beer, and spirits, including technical and service procedures
• Interacts graciously with customers while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
• Attends daily pre-shift meetings and adheres to accounting procedures for all transactions
• Maintains proficiency with the POS system
• Performs pre-shift, post-shift, and assigned daily/weekly duties
• Handles physical tasks such as lifting tables, chairs, and highchairs (up to 35 pounds)
• Cleans and maintains restaurant and workstation areas
• Upholds strict hygiene standards, including clean uniforms, groomed hair, and nails
• Manages scheduling with integrity, including clocking in/out, shift changes, and breaks
• Coordinates time off (holidays, vacations) with management while considering restaurant needs

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Experience in food and beverage service with proper table service guidelines
• Ability to work autonomously and stay motivated
• Thorough knowledge of order of service, table settings, and culinary terminology
• Exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to collaborate and embrace a "win together" mentality
• Physical ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift up to 35 pounds
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs

Pay

Salary range: $19.16 – $23.95 per hour. Starting pay varies by geographic location, experience, and qualifications.
