The Restaurant Server serves Neiman Marcus customers in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner consistent with the high standards set by Neiman Marcus.

Responsibilities

• Serve assigned seating section of the dining area in a professional and gracious manner.
• Utilize thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology, to provide detailed information to customers about menu items.
• Leverage knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, including technical and service procedures.
• Interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties simultaneously.
• Participate in daily pre‑shift meeting.
• Adhere to established accounting procedures for all transactions, including all authorized methods of payment, and maintain knowledge of the POS system.
• Execute pre‑shift, post‑shift, and daily/weekly duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Perform duties that may involve lifting objects (e.g., tables, chairs, highchairs).
• Clean and maintain the restaurant and workstation.
• Maintain the highest level of hygiene standards, including a clean, pressed uniform, professional hair and nails.
• Punch in before and out after every scheduled shift; follow established procedures for schedule and shift changes.
• Take appropriate lunch breaks and coordinate holiday, vacation, and time‑off requests with management.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in serving food and beverage and following proper table‑service guidelines.
• Ability to work autonomously and be motivated and results‑driven.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, climb stairs, and lift/carry up to 35 pounds.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Skills

• Thorough knowledge of order of service and proper placement of table settings (china, glass, flatware), food, and beverage.
• In‑depth knowledge of food preparation and culinary terminology.
• Knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, and related service procedures.
• Exceptional customer service and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to interact graciously with the public while handling multiple duties.

Pay

Salary range: $22.03 – $27.54 per hour (may vary by geographic location, experience, and other job‑related factors).
