Responsibilities

  • Aid the Restaurant Management team in overseeing front of house operations.
  • Ensure all servers are trained and assist guests courteously, efficiently, and according to company standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the host/hostess area during peak and busy periods.
  • Monitor and oversee opening and closing side work responsibilities with servers and busser/runners.
  • Coordinate special tour luncheons with Sales and Marketing Specialist and Restaurant Manager.
  • Manage and supervise bartenders and servers during check-out and cash closing procedures.
  • Communicate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth food service.
  • Provide feedback to the Restaurant Manager on operational issues.
  • Train, coach, and mentor front of house staff.
  • Perform any other duties as requested.

Requirements

  • Ability to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Strong leadership and managerial skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Financial background with the ability to enhance revenue and manage finances.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Office and familiarity with POS systems.
  • Physical demands: majority of time spent on feet, bending, twisting, squatting, and lifting up to 25 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Spanish speaking highly preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or a Bachelor’s Degree in F&B or Culinary is preferred.
  • Three (3) years supervisory experience in a restaurant setting.
