About the Role

The supervisor’s position requires strong communication skills, the ability to juggle several tasks, and a willingness to complete paperwork. This role involves running day-to-day restaurant operations while maintaining the established standard of service for guests. Consistent adherence to departmental policies and procedures, as outlined in the Biltmore Standard Operating Procedures (BSOPs), is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain positive customer relationships to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct daily and monthly training meetings with staff.
  • Perform daily facility maintenance checks for cleanliness and safety issues.
  • Handle employee-relation issues, including documenting and counseling employees.
  • Adhere to, explain, and maintain policies and procedures in all operational areas.
  • Maintain proper staffing levels.
  • Order supplies as needed.
  • Use the Refine computer program to maintain and update prices and descriptions.
  • Perform daily bar checks to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and stocking according to par levels.
  • Ensure food standards, including proper presentation, quality, portion size, and timing.
  • Attend monthly staff meetings.
  • Conduct end-of-month food and liquor inventory.
  • Assist the manager with day-to-day operations.
  • Ensure employees report to work on time, groomed, and in proper uniform.
  • Assist the manager with employee training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma is required; Associate’s Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a high-volume restaurant.

Physical Demands

  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Use, carry, and operate office equipment requiring finger dexterity.
  • Communicate effectively through verbal, auditory, and visual means.
  • Visually focus on a computer screen for extended periods.
  • Adapt to moderate indoor temperatures controlled by hotel environmental systems.

Licenses or Certifications

  • Must complete Safe Serve Alcohol Vending Course.

Grooming

All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per Biltmore Hotel standards.
