Responsibilities
- Supervise restaurant staff and ensure new associates are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to meet job expectations.
- Evaluate staff performance, provide coaching and counseling as needed, and communicate performance standards and individual roles in team success.
- Ensure all required training is completed, including orientation, safety, fire, food and beverage handling, and blood-borne pathogen training.
- Enforce staff compliance with internal controls, policies, procedures, standards, and regulations.
- Maintain a work environment free from harassment.
- Oversee and ensure compliance with safe and sanitary food and beverage handling and serving practices.
- Monitor and control the maintenance and sanitation of the restaurant and equipment.
- Supervise adherence to all safety protocols.
- Perform and supervise preparation of guest checks and collection of payments in compliance with cash handling, credit card transactions, room charge processing, and accounting policies.
- Report maintenance problems promptly to Engineering through proper channels.
- Order supplies and maintain accurate inventory as assigned.
- Respond to guest requests, concerns, and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Train restaurant employees to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
- Arrive on time and be present for scheduled shifts, wearing the proper uniform if applicable.
- Attend department meetings as scheduled.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude when communicating with guests and associates.
- Report incidents of guest dissatisfaction or other significant matters to a manager or supervisor for corrective action.
- Comply with all policies and procedures, and practice safe work habits in line with sanitary, safety, security, and emergency procedures.
- Write shift reports, including documentation of theft, accidents, or injuries when assigned.
- Check with a manager or supervisor before leaving the work area for any reason.
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
- Participate in task forces and committees as requested.
