About the role
Our restaurant portfolio in the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport includes Buddy's Pizza, Chili's, Max & Erma's, Sora Japanese Cuisine, Coffey Beanery, and more! As a Shift Supervisor, you'll work on shift with the team to cultivate a positive and engaging atmosphere, ensure best practices are followed, and hold the team accountable for providing a safe and clean environment for employees and guests.
Responsibilities
- Support the Management Team in ensuring service standards are consistently achieved by the team, with guest satisfaction as the top priority.
- Maintain brand operational standards, including completing restaurant checklists and cleaning schedules daily.
- Coach team members through the induction process as a training buddy to ensure comprehensive orientation and adherence to brand standards.
- Communicate and clarify job duties, priorities, and expectations to team members.
- Provide support, direction, and encouragement to help the team succeed in delivering business goals.
- Document team performance, including observations, discussions, and both positive and negative feedback.
- Assist team members in developing skills and abilities for improved performance.
- Ensure products are of the highest quality.
- Oversee cash-handling duties.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- Previous experience leading a team in a Quick Service Restaurant or Fast-Food environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in the food & beverage industry.
- Full Service restaurant experience preferred.
- Front-of-House (FOH) and Back-of-House (BOH) experience is an asset.
- Proven track record of resolving uncomfortable situations with clients, customers, peers, and direct reports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
