Restaurant Shift Supervisor

Pay: $22.00 / hour

About the role

Our Shift Supervisors play an important role in the day-to-day running of the business at our restaurant portfolio in the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, which includes Buddy's Pizza, Chili's, Max & Erma's, Sora Japanese Cuisine, Coffey Beanery, and more. You'll work on shift with the team to cultivate a positive and engaging atmosphere, ensure best practices are followed, and hold the team accountable for providing a safe and clean environment for employees and guests.

Responsibilities

• Support the Management Team in ensuring service standards are consistently achieved by the team and team members, understanding that our guest is our #1 priority.
• Maintain brand operational standards and ensure restaurant checklists and cleaning schedules are completed daily.
• Coach team members through the induction process by acting as a training buddy to ensure comprehensive orientation and maintenance of brand standards.
• Communicate and clarify major job duties, priorities, and expectations to team members.
• Provide support, direction, and encouragement to help the team succeed in delivering business goals.
• Document both good and unacceptable performance through observations and discussions.
• Assist team members in developing the skills and abilities necessary for improved performance.
• Ensure products are of the highest quality.
• Oversee cash duties.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Previous experience leading a team in a Quick Service Restaurant or Fast-Food environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in the food & beverage industry.
• Full Service restaurant experience preferred.
• FOH and BOH experience is an asset.
• Proven track record of resolving uncomfortable situations with clients, customers, peers, and direct reports.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
