Restaurant Manager Hallandale

About the role

Flanigan’s is the largest and most popular restaurant chain in South Florida, a beloved institution since 1959. We are expanding and seeking experienced restaurant managers to grow with us. Managers may be asked to work up to 30 miles from the restaurant location you are applying to.

Responsibilities

• Communicate concerning all kitchen issues with management throughout the day
• Read and write (in English) notes in the manager’s daily log
• Attend weekly manager’s meetings and monthly staff meetings
• Read the weekly memo
• Complete weekly/monthly employee evaluations
• Communicate with all managers on duty (m.o.d.) when shift is completed
• Provide an accurate, honest report of all events, both positive and negative
• Comply with all policies, rules, and directions covered in manuals, memos, and meetings
• Attend quarterly supervisor meetings
• Demonstrate an ownership mentality
• Order and formulate pars
• Understand and facilitate proper health code standards
• Adhere to Flanigan’s always-hiring policy and conduct interviews in a timely fashion
• Issue written evaluations for positive and/or negative performance
• Perform physical tasks including standing, moving about, lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping, squatting, or crawling
• Operate kitchen equipment
• Adhere to Flanigan’s policies for dress and grooming

Requirements

• Current food management certification
• Flexibility for scheduling (Flanigan’s is open 365 days per year)
• Willingness to transfer to a different geographical location
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Vacations scheduled between April and November only (must be taken or forfeited)
• Basic math skills (count currency, make change, use a calculator for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
• Basic computer skills
• Able to read, write, speak clearly, listen attentively, taste, and smell in English
• Ability to stand and move about at a moderate pace for up to 4 hours at a time
• Stamina to work 50 to 55 hours per week
• Coordination necessary to operate kitchen equipment
