Overview
Dash is a quick-service deli located inside Daily's convenience stores. The Restaurant Manager oversees all restaurant operations. Managers train personnel, consistently demonstrate exceptional customer service, and quickly resolve problems. The position requires flexible hours and night/weekend/holiday availability as needed.
Essential Functions
- Oversight of all aspects of food production and customer service
- Adherence to company policies and procedures
- Maintenance of cooking equipment and utensils
- Aid in food prep and cleaning
- Cook and prepare customer orders
- Recruitment, hiring, and training of store personnel
- Scheduling employees within labor budget
- Resolution of customer concerns
- Mediation of employee grievances
- Evaluation and counseling of employees, submission of appropriate documentation
- Running and reviewing daily reports
- Maintaining site appearance standards
- Ensuring the highest degree of cleanliness and sanitation in all areas
- Submitting and managing maintenance requests
- Implementing and enforcing health and safety requirements
- Ordering product and controlling merchandise inventories
- Monitoring P&L reports to maintain expected margins
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, & company policies
- Other duties as required
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; secondary degree preferred
- 2+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably in a QSR or deli environment
- Working knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices
Basic Qualifications & Physical Requirements
- 18+ years of age
- Valid driver license & reliable transportation
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication in English (hear, speak, read, & write)
- Verifiable work history
- Outgoing and friendly demeanor
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Safely lift 55 lbs. and carry short distances
- Stand and walk for 8+ consecutive hours
- Climb a step ladder, reach with arms above head, grasp with hands, bend, and crouch
- Count and weigh product; calculate basic math using decimals and fractions
- Perform inventory, order, & audit functions on a tablet
- Read and follow a series of instructions
- Withstand cold temperatures for short periods of time, such as when stocking freezers
- Basic computer proficiency including email and Microsoft Office programs
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced food service environment
