Restaurant Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Restaurant Manager with a minimum of 3 consecutive years of experience in a busy, high-service restaurant. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about wine and proper wine service, as well as craft cocktail service. You will report to the General Manager and oversee planning, organizing, training, and leadership to achieve objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Engage in table-to-table guest interactions to ensure customer satisfaction
• Plan and execute catering leads, collaborating closely with the Chef and General Manager
• Develop staff through hiring, training, performance management, documentation, coaching, and scheduling
• Supervise and expedite front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) operations, assisting with tasks such as bussing, food running, serving, prepping, and expediting
• Ensure proper cash handling and financial reconciliation
• Maintain labor costs within budget
• Oversee inventory and budgeting for wine, beer, alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages, and essential supplies
• Support business controls and budget compliance

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 consecutive years of restaurant management experience in a busy, high-service environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, scheduling applications, and industry-related POS systems
• Excellent communication skills, including oral, written, and active listening
• Ability to work a 5-day workweek with a varied schedule, including nights and weekends
• Physical ability to walk and stand for long periods, lift 50 pounds unassisted, open and serve wine bottles, make craft cocktails, and carry plates, glassware, and silverware
