Responsibilities
- Serving as an Advocate for the Busboys and Poeters brand
- Upholding Busboys and Poeters standards for employee performance and guest service
- Promoting cooperative effort, a team spirit, and good morale among employees
- Cooking, clearing tables, and serving food and drinks, when necessary
- Training and developing other staff members
- Evaluating employee performance, resolving personnel problems or grievances, and ensuring proper documentation
- Attending and conducting staff meetings
- Coordinating and facilitating training programs for new hires
- Collaborating with fellow Managers and the General Manager for effective business operations
- Handling guest complaints and providing excellent customer service
- Managing staff in terms of food preparation, customer service, cleaning, and repairs
- Coordinating equipment maintenance and repairs, and managing supplies
- Monitoring compliance with health and fire regulations
- Managing event coordination with the support of the Events Team
- Maintaining cleanliness and safety of the space
- Performing daily inspections and periodic audits
- Assisting with other employees' duties as needed
Requirements
- Served as a Front-of-House/Floor Restaurant Manager at a full-service restaurant for at least 2 years
- High school diploma, GED certificate, or demonstrated sufficient reading and math skills for manual and computer report preparation
- Hospitality and restaurant management certification or college degree preferred
- Strong team-building and communication skills
- Excellent customer service, treating guests like family
- Strong time management and accuracy skills
- Strong technical aptitude and computer skills (Web-based applications, Mobile applications, Excel, Word)
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Current licensure (Food Safety, ABRA, ServSafe, Alcohol Awareness) or ability to obtain within 30 days
Pay
$65,000 - $68,000 annually
Schedule
Full-time, Exempt, Salaried/ 50 hour work week
