About the Role

As a Host/Hostess, you will create an environment that generates excitement for both internal and external guests, delivering extraordinary guest service and going above and beyond in all situations. You will be responsible for building and retaining guest relations while mentoring coworkers to uphold superior guest service standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver guest service the Nemacolin way, ensuring a welcoming and positive experience.
• Greet guests at the restaurant entrance with a friendly, upbeat, and professional attitude.
• Seat guests at appropriate tables, ensuring all necessities (menus, silverware, etc.) are provided.
• Manage floor plans, seating charts, and rotation scheduling to balance server workloads.
• Maintain excellent communication and relationship-building with serving staff.
• Balance multiple competing priorities, such as guest requests and fair table distribution.
• Inform staff of special guest occasions (birthdays, anniversaries) to create memorable experiences.
• Answer phones courteously to take reservations and assist guests.
• Demonstrate knowledge of menus for all food and beverage outlets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Friendly and outgoing personality with strong customer service skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours at a time.
• Fluency in English and basic mathematical skills.
• Capability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including holidays, weekends, and evenings.
• Customer service experience preferred; restaurant experience a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years in a guest service role.
