About the Role

Lead the reopening of Timberline Steaks & Grille, a beloved Denver International Airport restaurant, with a completely refreshed look and elevated dining experience. This is a unique opportunity to join the team before opening, immersing yourself in Mission Yogurt's culture, systems, and leadership philosophy while training at our award-winning Root Down restaurant inside DEN.

As General Manager, you'll play a critical role in preparing Timberline for a successful launch—from building and developing an exceptional team to creating an outstanding guest experience from day one. Before Timberline opens, you'll work alongside the management team at Root Down, managing daily operations, leading shifts, coaching team members, and gaining firsthand experience with Mission Yogurt's standards. As the opening date approaches (late fall 2026), your focus will transition to Timberline, leading pre-opening activities including recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and building your leadership team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including guest experience, quality control, personnel management, sanitation, equipment maintenance, health inspections, and inventory management.
  • Set objectives and targets for staff; determine staffing needs and prepare/approve schedules.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, coaching, counseling, training, and development of staff and managers.
  • Set and monitor quality and service standards for staff; ensure adherence to company policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Be fluent in health department inspections and ensure compliance with fire, health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages and dishes to meet set standards.
  • Interact with customers to develop loyalty and handle customer concerns.
  • Monitor cleanliness and hygiene of front-of-house areas and staff.
  • Ensure adherence to cash management and stock control procedures; monitor and order supplies.
  • Maintain a strong grasp of food cost, financials, and inventory control.
  • Work with the marketing team to organize promotional activities.
  • Maintain regular communication with restaurant staff and management through meetings and discussions.
  • Work with Human Resources to address disciplinary issues with team members.

Requirements

  • At least three years of full-service restaurant management experience.
  • Prior experience in multi-unit operations is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to deliver superior food and beverage service and maximize customer satisfaction.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to work on your feet for up to 12 hours.
  • Prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching overhead.
  • Lifting products and supplies weighing 20 pounds, and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Repetitive hand and wrist motion.
