About the Role
The Restaurant General Manager oversees food and beverage operations, creates an innovative menu, manages all aspects of the organization's food and beverage planning and service, and coordinates special events.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the operations of the kitchen and back-of-house, ensuring food and beverages are prepared safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
- Manages stocking, ordering, and purchasing of supplies and ingredients to ensure availability, freshness, and minimal spoilage or waste.
- Maintains and inspects kitchen equipment and utensils, recommending repairs or replacements as needed.
- Maintains the food and beverage budget.
- Sets prices for food and beverage items on the menu.
- Plans, coordinates, and oversees special events.
- Participates in and provides input for food and beverage marketing activities.
- Builds rapport with patrons and groups to ensure guest satisfaction and repeat business.
- Ensures achievement of budgeted food sales, beverage sales, labor costs, and profitability.
- Conducts regular market analysis to align food and beverage prices with competitors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Relevant experience or training.
- At least two years of culinary managerial experience.
- Business experience preferred.
