About the role

The Restaurant Clerk position is one of the key contact points for our customers' service experience and will assist with the preparation of El Super grilled and hot food items, following precise company standards for preparation and presentation and maintaining a clean and inviting restaurant. Must be able to work a variety of hours including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of El Super grilled and hot food items, following precise company standards for preparation and presentation and maintaining a clean and inviting restaurant.
• Maintain a clean and inviting restaurant environment.
• Work a variety of hours including nights and weekends.
• Must have a Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification.

Requirements

• Able to read and write Spanish/English.
• Able to interact with the general public and co-workers.
• Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Able to write simple correspondence.
• Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Qualifications

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate.

Skills

• Spanish/English reading and writing skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items.
