About the role
The Hotel Landing is a premier luxury lakeside destination in the Upper Midwest, offering a unique blend of refined hospitality and personalized service. As a Bartender, you will play a central role in enhancing the guest experience by providing exceptional service and creating memorable moments.
Responsibilities
- Craft exceptional beverages and deliver polished, attentive service in a luxury dining environment.
- Engage guests with confidence and warmth, providing thoughtful recommendations and executing cocktails and beverages with consistency and precision.
- Contribute to an atmosphere where guests feel comfortable, valued, and at home.
- Ring guest checks, collect cash, and process credits and room charges in accordance with company policies.
- Complete liquor requisitions and supply lists, ensuring established pars are maintained.
- Ensure compliance with state liquor laws and perform all sidework duties according to schedules.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Lifting capacity: 20 - 40 lbs. for trays, dish racks, glass racks; 50 - 100 lbs. for carting and moving items.
- Continuous standing for 100% of the work shift.
- Ability to maneuver in narrow areas and between seated guests.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, follow verbal and written instructions, and communicate effectively.
- Highly organized and able to pay attention to detail in crowded and noisy situations.
- Able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and emotionally charged situations.
- Able to accurately count cash and operate a cash register.
Qualifications
- Bartending training and certification, TIPS Certified.
Skills
- Technical skill in cocktail preparation.
- Product knowledge of alcoholic beverages.
- Genuine hospitality and service orientation.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
