Responsibilities

  • Staff, schedule, evaluate, train, develop, and monitor team members.
  • Recommend wage increases, promotions, demotions, discipline, and other employment actions for team members.
  • Assist in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and rules, including operations manuals, to promote compliance with company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain training and development procedures to ensure superior guest service standards are met.
  • Prepare and deliver performance appraisals for assigned team.
  • Understand department objectives, standards, guidelines, and budget.
  • Ensure assigned outlet is well-staffed, organized, and operating to exceptional standards.
  • Open and close work area at scheduled times, ensuring full preparation for operation/function; ensure cleanliness and security of company assets.
  • Work with Outlet Manager and Chefs to ensure proper food preparation and presentation.
  • Monitor team members and provide necessary coaching as needed.
  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining inventory levels for assigned outlet.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • 2-3 years prior experience as a supervisor or in a leadership role.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook programs.
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Determines work procedures and expedites workflow.
  • Responsible for team member development, coaching, training, and recognition programs.
  • Conducts team member performance appraisals.
  • Responsible for the hiring and firing of team members when applicable.
