Restaurant Assistant General Manager - Eataly Flatiron

About the role

The Restaurant Assistant General Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of a single restaurant or group of restaurants at an Eataly location, reporting to the General Manager of Restaurants. This role focuses on maximizing profitability while upholding the company’s mission, values, policies, quality, and guest experience standards.

Responsibilities

• Actively work the floor, applying a hands-on approach to operations
• Hire, assign, train, motivate, evaluate, and terminate team members as necessary
• Provide in-the-moment coaching and feedback to team members to facilitate their growth
• Manage inventory levels and replenish goods and operating materials
• Collaborate interdepartmentally and with corporate to plan activities and special events
• Document, investigate, and resolve employee and guest incidents
• Maintain a high level of hospitality toward guests and within the team
• Perform other duties as required or assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree
• 2+ years of experience managing a large restaurant staff to accomplish sales and guest service goals
• Demonstrated problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and business management skills
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with Italian cuisine and wine highly preferred
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, often including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting

Pay

The base pay range for this position is $80,000 - $90,000 per year.
