Responsible NDT / NDE Level III

Job Responsibilities

• Create, edit and maintain all NDE related system operating procedures, work instructions and program documents, ensuring NDE procedures adhere to the latest industry and customer requirements.
• Maintain and approve written practice for control and administration of NDE personnel training, examination and certification (reference SNT-TC-1A and NAS410).
• Train, develop and monitor technical proficiency of NDE personnel, including auditing and testing to ensure compliance to internal, industry and customer requirements.
• Develop, qualify, approve and designate NDE procedures and techniques.
• Participate in customer and certification audits.
• Interface with engineering to review job requirements and plan NDE operations.
• Provide NDE technical expertise to internal and external customers.
• Conduct planning of jobs.
• Attend meetings to support operations -- production control planning, pre-release meetings.
• Assist with problem solving shop floor operational issues related to NDE.
• Evaluate support operational needs, including overtime required.
• Evaluate skill level and performance of personnel per company process and policy.
• Investigate any anomalies—Non-Conformances (NC's), job overruns, accidents, incidents, define and implement appropriate corrective actions.

Requirements

• Must have required education and experience to meet ASNT Level III standard in at least two NDE methods, preferably including MT, PT or VT.
• Must have ability to certify qualifications and complete any required additional education and testing for other needed NDE processes within a reasonable time period from employment start date.
• Must have verifiable work experience and documentation of hours for Level II/III NDE certifications that meet ASNT requirements.
