Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Performs Level III duties for Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (Method A and Method D), and Radiographic Testing with X-ray Film and Non Film (CR, DDA)
- Establishs X-ray and FPI Techniques, interprets specifications and codes, designates test methods as required by part specific requirements
- Maintains complete NDT certification program in accordance with NAS 410, SNT-TC-1A, and applicable customer specifications as the Responsible Level III for the business operation
- Reviews purchase orders, blueprints, and specifications for all requirements applicable to the raw material casting
- Affirms that all requirements are part of the manufacturing process and inspection plans
- Conducts internal and external audits as required
- Technical lead and responsible person for customer NDT audits and NADCAP NDT audits as required
- Communicates material and non-destructive test requirements and results to casting supervision and personnel, and coordinates test results, and coordinates paperwork required for manufacturing processes, inspection methods, and nondestructive testing requirements
- Acts as a liaison between customer and companies in the establishment of quality standards and resolution of issues related to quality, and visits customer facilities on quality related issues, as required
- Works with Engineering, Quality Control, and Operations to establish priorities
- Reviews product routing, instructs personnel, and establishes written controls as required
- Writes and approves technical content and adequacy of NDT procedures
- Acts as Radiation Safety Officer, monitors radiation exposure for NDT X-ray personnel
- Performs any other associated duties as directed by management

Education, Experience And Required Skills
- 3-4 year undergraduate degree in science or engineering with at least one year of NDT Level 2 experience; or: two years of engineering or science study at a technical school, college, or university with at least two years of NDT Level 2 experience; or: a high school diploma with at least four years of NDT Level 2 experience in the applicable methods
- ASNT Certification and experience in Radiographic Testing & Penetrant Testing or Certification as RT and PT Level III to NAS 410 Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of investment casting processes, technologies, and quality assurance methods and techniques, materials, and requirements is preferred
