About the role
The eGRC Product Owner I is responsible for ensuring a development team creates value for the organization through the delivery of stakeholder-focused product increments. This involves aligning with other Product Owners and senior management to follow a product vision, creating and maintaining a prioritized product backlog, managing delivery blockers, and continuously assessing stakeholder feedback.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a product backlog aligned with the product vision and stakeholder needs
- Manage delivery blockers and continuously assess stakeholder feedback
- Ensure continuous improvement of the product or delivery process
- Maximize value and contribute to a positive work environment
- Accept/reject user stories based on the Definition of Done and Acceptance Criteria
- Oversee multiple development team backlogs and manage defect management
- Raise issues that impede efficient delivery and communicate with leadership
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree and/or product certificate
- 7+ years relevant experience
- 3-5 years Product Owner or Agile related delivery experience
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification and project management experience considered an asset
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications or experience operating in scaled agile delivery considered an asset
Qualifications
- Experience in eGRC / Non-Financial Risk Product Management at a large Financial Institution or G-SIB
- Knowledge of enterprise sub-function’s or business line’s overarching strategy
- Ability to interpret internal/external business challenges and recommend improvements
- Leadership and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills

- Specialized product development support based on sound product expertise and knowledge of Agile/Scrum processes
- Highly analytical thought and solution identification
- Strategic thinking and ability to influence senior stakeholders
