Respite Counselor - 1st Shift

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance, education, supervision, and direct supports to allow consumers to maintain their physical and emotional health, live safely in the community and develop the skills necessary to return to independent living.
• Interact with staff and consumers in a way that respects their individuality and promotes crisis or situational stabilization.
• Support individuals experiencing mental health, substance use disorder, and co-occurring disorders who might otherwise require inpatient treatment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent with a Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and regular access to a reliable vehicle.
• One year of experience or three years of related experience required.
• Basic computer fluency, including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in and comprehend the English language, including clearly documenting consumer progress and activities in program records.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

• $21.21/hour for a High School Diploma.
• $22.27/hour for a Bachelor’s Degree.

Schedule

• Full Time, 40 hours per week.
• Monday - Friday: 8am to 4pm.
