RESPIRATORY THERP-STUDENT

About the role

The Student Respiratory Therapist (LPH) provides respiratory care to patients under the direction of a Respiratory Care Professional. They must demonstrate competency in procedures verified by their school and re-verified by the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to patients under the supervision of a Respiratory Care Professional.
• Maintain compliance with Ohio Respiratory Care Laws and regulatory standards.
• Perform procedures for which competency has been verified by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board and the hospital.

Requirements

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred educational qualifications: Enrolled and in good standing in a Respiratory Care Program.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Limited permit to perform Respiratory Care issued by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board.
• BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• Completed Respiratory Care program curriculum as verified by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board.

Skills

• Proficiency in respiratory care procedures.
• Compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies.
