Role and Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services in Acute Care and Emergency Department settings
- Perform patient assessments and deliver treatments for pulmonary conditions
- Educate patients on pulmonary health
- Care for inpatient populations including ED, Medical-Surgical, and Step-Down units
- Manage a patient load of approximately 20–25 patients per round within an 80:1 ratio environment
- Accurately document all patient care activities using Epic EMR
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required
- Active Virginia Respiratory Therapy License required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred
- Experience in Acute Care and Emergency Department respiratory therapy preferred
- Familiarity with Step-Down and Medical-Surgical units preferred
