Respiratory Therapy Supervisor

About the role

The Supervisor Respiratory Therapy oversees all Point of Care Testing (POCT), ensuring testing accuracy, accreditation compliance, and staff competencies. They define technical objectives and direct regional activities while maintaining knowledge of CLIA, CAP, TJC, and LIS accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan, document, and deliver comprehensive respiratory care.
• Provide complex respiratory treatments and evaluate patient responses.
• Lead in discharge planning and involve patients and families in care decisions.
• Deliver education to patients, families, and staff.
• Serve as a leader in emergency situations, collaborating with the care team to meet patient needs.
• Enhance departmental functions through leadership, technical expertise, and compliance.

Requirements

• Licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RT) or Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
• Certification as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 4–6 years of technical experience preferred.
• 0–2 years of leadership experience preferred.

Schedule

Full-time, five days a week.
