Responsibilities

  • Support patient recovery by administering respiratory medications and treatments under expert supervision, ensuring every therapy is delivered safely and effectively.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient responses to ordered therapies, acting as a vital link in the clinical chain by reporting real-time status updates to the care team.
  • Advocate for patient safety by meticulously recording clinical observations and communicating changes in condition to ensure timely and accurate interventions.
  • Empower patients and their families through clear, empathetic education regarding their respiratory health, medications, and the road to recovery.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Temporary Permit Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date or Student Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • High school diploma equivalency or enrolled in accredited program specific to discipline required.

Qualifications

  • Current in BLS.
  • Enrolled in a CoARC approved Respiratory Therapy college program.
  • Willing to obtain an Indiana Respiratory Care Practitioner student permit (upon being hired).
