Respiratory Therapy Assistant

Position Objective

Essential Job Duties

• Perform equipment processing, clerical, and administrative support tasks as assigned.
• Maintain records as required to meet departmental, organizational, and regulatory standards.
• Maintains supply and equipment inventory.
• Review par levels and order inventory supplies in the quantities needed.
• Performs routine maintenance and quality control activities on respiratory care equipment and arterial blood gas machines.
• Disassembles, assembles, decontaminates, and disinfects respiratory therapy equipment according to manufacturers and departmental standards.
• Uses established department procedures to record and process loaner/rental equipment.

Education/Experience Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Respiratory Therapy Student at an Accredited College or University.

License/Certifications

None

Working Conditions, Equipment, Physical Demands

• Exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
• Physical Demands - Medium Lifting: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Pay Range

$20—$40 USD
