About the role
The position involves respiratory therapy duties including oxygen and aerosol therapy, administration of specialty gases, application of ventilators, arterial puncture, blood gas analysis, implementing patient-driven protocols, and other tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory therapy services under supervision.
- Administer oxygen and aerosol therapies.
- Manage ventilator applications.
- Perform arterial punctures and blood gas analyses.
- Implement and monitor patient-driven protocols.
- Assist with other respiratory therapy-related tasks as directed.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Commission of Accreditation Respiratory Care (CoARC) approved program.
- Current State of Iowa Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
- CPR certification.
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
- One to two years of recent ICU level experience preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical record systems.
- Current registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a two or four-year AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program.
- Completed requirements for national board registration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to obtain CPR certification.
- Current state license.
Skills
- Proficiency in respiratory therapy techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of electronic medical record systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Pay
Yearly minimum starting salary: $57,071 for 100% time. Salary range: $57,071 - Commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Multiple openings ranging from 60-100%, with positions available on days or nights.
