About the role
The Respiratory Care Practitioner performs independent professional respiratory care diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, clinical evaluation of care including the establishment of therapeutic objectives and the review of care based on the age and needs of the patient. Final and ultimate authority, judgment, and clinical decision making are the responsibility of a physician.
Responsibilities
- Administer emergency, life-sustaining procedures until such time as judgment and decision making responsibilities may be assumed by a physician.
- Provide respiratory care diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Perform clinical evaluation of care including the establishment of therapeutic objectives and the review of care based on the age and needs of the patient.
- Manage ventilators and demonstrate proficiency in ventilator care.
- Evaluate and assess patients across various age groups including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
Requirements
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification within 3 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification upon date of hire.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) Certification within 3 months of hire.
- Post-graduate clinical experience in all aspects of respiratory care including extensive critical care background.
- Proficient demonstration of ventilator care and management.
- Strong communication skills.
Qualifications
- Obtain credential of Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) within one year of employment.

- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) Certification
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Credential

Variable (3) 12 hour shifts
Pay
$2500 retention bonus at the end of the first year
