Job Details

Provides respiratory therapy designed to stabilize, prevent or remedy patient respiratory problems.

Performs treatments according to physician orders, explains therapy, and therapeutic goals to patient; modifies treatment procedures based on patient response.

Makes recommendations to change or modify based on the assessment of the patient's response to such therapies.

Educates the patient and family about the health condition.

Performs routine maintenance on equipment.

Responds to medical emergencies throughout the facility.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care or equivalent years of experience and education
• National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registered Respiratory Therapist to be obtained within twelve (12) months
• Active State Respiratory Care Practitioner license
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within six (6) months
