Respiratory Therapist- St. Peters Hospital- 7 on 7 off shift

Full-time, rotating shift position with a 7-on, 7-off schedule:

• Week 1: 3 × 12-hour shifts (11 am–11 pm) and 4 × 8-hour shifts (3 pm–11 pm)
• Week 2: off

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and care for patients of all ages with pulmonary disorders
• Analyze and perform diagnostic testing, conduct relevant exams
• Set up and operate cardiopulmonary equipment and breathing-assistance machines
• Gather data to assess a patient’s current health status
• Evaluate the patient according to physical and age-related needs
• Observe, record, and report symptoms, reactions, and progress
• Administer and document prescribed medications, treatments, and diagnostic procedures
• Perform airway management, including endotracheal intubations and extubations, pulmonary hygiene, tracheostomy care, and emergency life support
• Provide extensive health education to patients and the community

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy
• Current New York State Respiratory Therapist License

Pay

Hourly range: $39.22–$51.77, based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions are paid within the base-salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates; the range may vary by location.
