About the role
The role is a full-time Respiratory Therapist providing therapeutic procedures and diagnostic testing for both chronically and acutely ill patients.
Responsibilities
- Delivering respiratory care while maintaining patient safety and promoting evidence-based practices.
- Initiating and administering therapeutic procedures, diagnostic tests, and patient education.
- Recording patient assessments and maintaining departmental records.
- Precepting new staff and participating in clinical rotations for students.
- Managing respiratory therapy equipment and collaborating with healthcare teams on patient care plans.
Qualifications
- Completion of a 2- or 4-year Respiratory Care Program or equivalent educational background.
- Ohio Respiratory Care Professional License and National Board credentials (RRT or CRT).
- Clinical experience with adult and neonatal respiratory procedures, including mechanical ventilation and arterial blood gases.
- Current BLS certification.
