Respiratory Therapist RRT, Weekend, Days

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory patient assessments, makes appropriate recommendations, and initiates recommended mode of therapy per physician orders.
• Familiar with ventilator equipment, respiratory medication delivery devices, and performs chest physical therapy.
• Draws and analyzes arterial blood specimens.
• Assists in the interpretation of ABGs as needed.
• Responds to cardiopulmonary emergencies and assists with intervention as appropriate and within scope of practice.
• Performs EKGs and other diagnostic or therapeutic tests as assigned.
• Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team concerning interventions, discharge needs, and patient education.
• Completes other duties or tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
• NBRC Registry certification.
• ASBRT License.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience preferred.
