Position Highlights
- Position: Respiratory Therapist
- Location: Evanston Hospital - Evanston, IL
- Employment Type: Per Diem | Hours are Scheduled Based on Department Needs
- Schedule: Varies Monday - Sunday from 7pm - 7am, weekends and holidays
What You Will Do
- Assists Physicians, as requested with Respiratory Therapy procedures
- Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians according hospital policy and procedures
- Assess patients to determine most suitable method of administering treatment
- Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities and transcribe verbal or phone order by physicians
- Communicate to patient and family the treatment being performed in a clear manner
- Monitor patient physiological response to therapy with special attention to the pediatric and neonatal patients
- Provide patient and staff education
What You Will Need
- License: Licensed by the State of Illinois as a Respiratory Care Practitioner required
- Education: Graduate of an CoARC approved school of respiratory therapy, required
- Certification: CPR (BLS) issued by American Heart Association, required

Hourly Pay Range $33.16 - $49.74. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
