Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT)- Per Diem

About the Role

RUSH Specialty Hospital, a partnership between Select Medical and RUSH, is a 100-bed facility combining a critical illness recovery hospital and an acute inpatient rehabilitation unit. Our critical illness recovery hospital provides world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients requiring extended healing and recovery. Respiratory Therapists (RT) play a central role in delivering compassionate, excellent treatment during some of the most vulnerable moments of patients' lives.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure.
• ACLS certification required upon hire (agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift).

Qualifications

One (1) year of related experience is preferred.

Schedule

PRN / Per Diem - Day and Night shift positions available (12-hour shifts).

Pay

$50.00 per hour, plus shift differential for night and weekend shifts. Sign-on bonus of $5,000.
