RESPIRATORY THERAPIST RRT / CRT FT

About the role

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for administering respiratory care at Saint Mary's Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Of New England. This role involves significant independent judgment in delivering quality patient care and serving as a technical resource for physicians and healthcare workers regarding current respiratory care practices.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory care as offered by the Respiratory Care Department.
• Operate and manage respiratory-related equipment, including mechanical ventilators, NIPPV/CPAP, and High Flow Oxygen devices.
• Manage patients on invasive mechanical ventilation modes (AC, PSV, PC, APRV, Bi-level).
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to healthcare teams.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Care, minimum of a two-year Associate's Degree.
• Current State of CT Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified (CRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Thorough knowledge of respiratory care procedures and patient care techniques.
