Respiratory Therapist - Registered - Per Diem

About the role

Administers respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities. Trains and acts as a resource for Respiratory Therapy Department.

Responsibilities

• Trains and acts as a resource for Respiratory therapy Department.
• Manages ventilator and BiPap/CPAP equipment.
• Performs arterial blood gas sampling and analysis.
• Administers medication via nebulizer and metered dose inhaler.
• Cross-trains in PFT studies.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team in providing acute and critical care.

Requirements

BLS and ACLS Required, and NRP Preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy.
• Current license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of New Hampshire.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in using medical equipment and technology.
