Respiratory Therapist - Registered - Part Time

About the role

Administers respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities. Trains and acts as a resource for Respiratory Therapy Department.

Responsibilities

• Trains and acts as a resource for Respiratory therapy Department.
• Manages Ventilator and BiPap/CPAP equipment.
• Performs Arterial Blood Gas sampling and analysis.
• Administers medication via nebulizer and metered dose inhaler.
• Cross trains in PFT studies.
• Works collaboratively with interdisciplinary team in providing acute and critical care.

Requirements

BLS and ACLS Required, and NRP Preferred.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a Respiratory Therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).

Skills

Knowledge of respiratory care procedures, equipment, and techniques.
