Respiratory Therapist (Registered)

About the Role

Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) responsible for assessing, planning, performing, and evaluating respiratory care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments and establish personalized care plans.
• Administer therapeutic modalities including aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and secretion management.
• Manage mechanical ventilators and assist with airway management in emergency situations.
• Provide patient and family education on disease management and respiratory care.
• Support intra-hospital transport of ventilated patients and assist with invasive procedures like bronchoscopy.
• Collect and analyze arterial blood gases, monitor non-invasive devices, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Serve as a Shift Coordinator and preceptor for students and new staff.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Respiratory Therapy (required).
• Experience with protocol-driven care, evidence-based practices, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication, assessment, and clinical skills with a focus on patient safety.
• Ability to operate state-of-the-art equipment and adapt to various care scenarios.
