Respiratory Therapist/Registered
Position Summary
Provides assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patients’ respiratory status, and plan of care. Functions independently in all areas of the organization. Care is provided in a compassionate, professional, ethical, and knowledgeable fashion that exemplifies the mission, vision and values of Rush Copley, and is in accordance with policies and procedures.
Position Requirements
- Licence: Current Illinois State License as Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Education: Completion of CoARC approved program in Respiratory Care required.
- Credential: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care. Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) required to work in Level III NICU after October 31, 2026.
- Certifications: CPR ACLS required within 6 months of employment. PALS required within 12 months of employment. NRP required for all staff working in NICU III within 3 months of employment.
Pay
RUSH salaries are determined by many factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related experience and skills, as well as internal equity and industry specific market data. The pay range for each role reflects RUSH’s anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position. Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.
