Key Responsibilities
- Perform pulmonary tests such as spirometry, FVL, FVC, MVV, DLCO, airway resistance, and methacholine challenge testing as ordered.
- Aid with diagnostic procedures, including thoracentesis support.
- Document all relevant patient data accurately and maintain lab records, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Cook up patient schedules, confirm appointments, and provide pre-test instructions to optimize productivity.
- Collaborate with team members, communicate patient care plans effectively, and support quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
- Certified Pulmonary Function Tech (PFT) or Registered Pulmonary Function Tech preferred.
- Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification, with Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 3 months.
- Technical proficiency in pulmonary testing procedures and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to recognize abnormal findings and communicate effectively.
