About the role
The Community Hospital is seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist to join their dedicated team. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a compassionate and supportive group of professionals who value excellence and service.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ability to assess patients appropriately and interpret results accurately.
- Complete breathing treatments and IS therapy as ordered.
- Collaborate with nursing staff on patient therapies.
- Change modes of therapy as needed.
- Aid physicians in the clinical management of patients.
- Involves patients and significant others in care activities to inform and teach.
- Administer medications according to hospital policy.
- Receive/interpret telephone/verbal orders and document appropriately.
- Use necessary patient equipment effectively and safely.
- React calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Work autonomously and independently.
Requirements
- CRT: Oklahoma license as Respiratory Care Practitioner, NBRC certification as CRT, graduate of CoARC-accredited program, 1 year experience post-graduation, BLS Healthcare within 30 days of hire, ACLS and PALS within 120 days of hire.
- RRT: Oklahoma license as Respiratory Care Practitioner, NBRC certification as RRT, graduate of CoARC-accredited program, Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy, 1 year experience post-graduation, BLS Healthcare within 30 days of hire, ACLS and PALS within 120 days of hire.
Qualifications
- CRT: Graduate of a CoARC-accredited program, 1 year experience post-graduation, BLS Healthcare within 30 days of hire, ACLS and PALS within 120 days of hire.
- RRT: Graduate of a CoARC-accredited program, Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy, 1 year experience post-graduation, BLS Healthcare within 30 days of hire, ACLS and PALS within 120 days of hire.
