Respiratory Therapist PRN

About the role

Select Specialty Hospital - St. Louis North 63136 offers a position as a Respiratory Therapist (RT) with a flexible schedule of PRN Day or Night 7-7. The position comes with a competitive compensation of $43 hourly plus shift differentials for nights ($5) and weekends ($3.50), along with a sign-on bonus of $7,500.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients/families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift).

Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
