Respiratory Therapist - PRN

About the Role

The Respiratory Therapist provides critical respiratory care by assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans. They administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality care. The therapist offers clinical leadership, supports continuous learning, and performs additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop care plans
• Implement and evaluate care strategies
• Administer prescribed medications and provide health education
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members
• Support healthcare improvements and clinical leadership
• Complete assigned goals and participate in ongoing learning

Requirements

• Recent clinical respiratory care experience
• Successful completion of hospital and departmental orientation
• Basic computer skills with Windows and Microsoft Office
• Licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire; ACLS preferred
