Respiratory Therapist PRN

Role Overview: The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care in critical settings, including ventilator management, medication administration, and patient assessment. They deliver patient-centered care, educate patients and support staff, and participate in procedural and diagnostic activities. Key Responsibilities Perform patient assessments, collaborate with healthcare teams, and verify orders for therapies such as aerosolized medications, oxygen, and bronchial hygiene.Manage ventilators, including weaning and waveform interpretation, and handle airway management procedures.Conduct arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, and educate patients and staff.Support quality and safety initiatives, promote evidence-based practices, and ensure compliance with policies.Assist in invasive and non-invasive procedures and pulmonary diagnostics.Mentor and precept new employees, students, and peers. Qualifications & Skills Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred).Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT or equivalent.0-2 years of clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care.Strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and computer skills.
