Respiratory Therapist / Nurse

About the role

Lincare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist or Nurse to join a growing team. This role involves setting up home medical equipment, including ventilators, monitors, CPAP/BiPAP units, and other related equipment, as well as educating and training patients on proper usage.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and provide education on home medical equipment such as CPAP/BiPAP machines, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and mechanical ventilators.
• Inspect, test, and adjust home medical equipment to ensure safe and efficient functioning.
• Review prescription and patient information to assess condition and determine suitable treatment administration, compatible with physician orders.
• Maintain complete and organized patient records in compliance with accreditation standards.
• Stay current with respiratory homecare techniques and relevant respiratory therapy concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed; frequency depends on center size and number of employees available to share the workload.
